At the Ambiente Lavoro/Sicurlabor fair in Bologna, Alba has solidified its position as a key player in the safety footwear industry. We caught up with Simona Del Buono, who shared some insights:
“Our primary market consists of distributors and retailers, who then supply the end customer. While we’re showcasing our current catalog and ready-to-ship inventory here at Ambiente Lavoro, it’s crucial to remember that Alba originally started as a leading private label manufacturer. We’re well-known for working behind the scenes for other major market players, producing footwear under their brand. This has given us extensive expertise in customization and in meeting the unique demands of each client.
Over the years, with our growing presence in the Horeca sector (hotels, restaurants, and catering), we’ve developed a new line featuring double-density polyurethane. This innovation significantly enhances the footwear’s resistance, solidity, and durability, making it perfect for the rigorous demands of the hospitality and food service industries. Our expansion into Horeca is a strategic move to cater to a continuously growing market.
When it comes to sustainability, this is becoming an increasingly vital consideration for our clients. We’ve seen particular emphasis on this in France, for instance, where regulations now mandate the use of PPE with a certain percentage of recycled material. Alba is at the forefront of this trend, offering products made with fabrics derived from recycled fibers. We’re proud to provide solutions that are environmentally conscious without compromising safety or quality.
Finally, we’re thrilled to introduce our new sports line. This collection, which saw successful launches last year at the Bergamo Fair and in Paris, was conceived to offer a casual, dynamic concept without sacrificing essential safety features. This line perfectly blends the latest market trends with the need for protective footwear, appealing to an increasingly younger demographic. What truly sets Alba apart from our competitors is our ability to offer 360-degree customization. Our core business is the production of tailor- made footwear, crafted precisely to our clients’ specifications.”
