Alpe Spa showcases its top-of-the-line models

Alpe, based in Arzignano (Vicenza), stands out among the leaders in Italy and worldwide for the manufacturing of tannery machinery and at the latest edition of Simac Tanning Tech decided to showcase its most popular technologies, including the new Predator splitting machine and Matrix shaving machine

“For the 2024 edition of Simac Tanning Tech, we displayed the top models in our range, including the new Predator splitting machine and the Matrix shaving machine, which got a considerable interest and admiration” Chiara Peloso, owner of Alpe Spa, said. Alpe Spa, based in Arzignano (Vicenza) – one of the leading leather districts globally – is among the top brands in Italy and worldwide for the development of tannery machinery. This important industry event showcased the Vicenza group’s recent leap in competitiveness and turnover.
Boasting nearly half a century of history, this third-generation family business keeps on going through a strong development and pursues ambitious goals. Within the group, Alpe is the historical brand, Officine Meccaniche Alpe manages the production of new shaving machines and the reconditioning of used machines of almost all types, while Alpe Spak focuses solely on splitting machines.
“The new Predator through feed line,” Ms. Peloso pointed out, “is designed and manufactured for tripe splitting, but is now also available in a wet-blue version. This revolutionary new concept, already patented, which has already been patented, stems from the need to solve the lack of skilled workers and to further protect workers by providing them with greater safety in the workplace. The complex roller system operating on the rubber roller and upper transport, all held by special belt sleeves, has been retained. The introduction of belts in this new system also eliminates the problem of marking on the hides, typically caused by slightly aggressive transport rollers, and prevents thickness reduction caused by trimmings that could block the articulated roller. It can work online Alpe Spa showcases its top-of-the-line models with “thru-feed fleshing” machinery, achieving a high, unceasing production capacity of 400 to 480 hides per hour with only one supervisor and no operators. The system can be customized according to the client’s needs.”
“Another of our achievements is the Matrix shaving machine,” she continues. “I like to call it the ‘safe port of clients,’ as it is a reliable and robust machine that ensures program updates to adjust to the needs of customers who have to deal with hides coming in from all over the world, thus featuring very different characteristics. Currently, the Matrix shaving machine is not covered by a patent, but we may pursue that in the future, as we are considering significant changes and further developments, including an auto-solving system. Our software technicians are constantly updating our already sophisticated technologies.
Programming with a guarantee to provide as many options as possible has always been our priority to be close to customers. Our strong point is that we never stop, we always try to find a solution to every request or suggestion.”
Finally, great attention is paid to environmental sustainability, a longstanding pursuit of the Alpe Group. “By further reducing working time,” concludes owner Chiara Peloso, “we have taken another important step in our green profile. We consistently stay ahead of relevant regulations, which are becoming increasingly stringent. We are also proud of a number of options that help us in this direction; for example, the shaving machine is equipped with the ‘green label,’ a device for controlling consumption. Moreover, we do not produce polluting machinery, focusing mainly on mechanics and electronics.”
