Antex, the importance of collaboration for sustainability in the textile industry

Founded in 1969 and based in Anglès, Girona, Antex has established itself as an innovative textile group, specializing in the production of synthetic yarns. For over fifteen years, the company has been committed to protecting the environment through post-industrial and post-consumer recycling processes and eco-compatible technologies, operating with a reduction in energy and water consumption and pollution caused by non-biodegradable waste.

“The company,” explains Marta Molist, Innovation & Sustainability Director of Antex, “acts as a connection point between the plastic and textile worlds, and our production includes a wide variety of yarns: smooth, textured, untwisted and twisted, made from different types of polymers, such as polyester and polyamide 6.6, as well as variants like Vvt.”

All products comply with certifications such as Oeko-Tex and G.R.S. and are in line with European regulations. “Our goal,” concludes Molist, “is to stop being part of the problem and do everything to become part of the solution. In synergy with all parts of the chain.”
