These three distinctive traits, put in limelight in the homepage of the corporate website, lie at the core of the business challenge taken up by CIM ITALY – company based in Cernusco Lombardone (Lecco province), specialized in the manufacturing of accessories for the apparel, leatherware and footwear sectors (such as rhinestones, studs, thermos-adhesive paper and sheets, acrylic stones, eyelets, metal mesh, metal as well as ABS/nylon studs), besides providing laser processing techniques.


A comprehensive, multi-faceted array of products, that is constantly updated, month after month, as confirmed by the CIM ITALY’S CEO Stefano Innocenti, when we met him at Milano. “As far as 2020 is concerned, we aim at confirming this year’s results, even though, there is nothing certain. In a sector experiencing an overall downturn trend, these data are truly satisfying, both for us and for our partners and designers, who keep relying on our company.


What are the plans for 2020? Our research laboratory is growing larger, as we have been hiring other professional figures and there has been an increase in the personnel, currently made up of 35 people. This will give us the chance to launch new articles and cuttingedge techniques, thanks to which we will try to be a step ahead of trends. Another market demand lies in the prompt handling of orders: we are a service company, for us, quality and speed are true cornerstones.” Currently, the customer portfolio comprises more than 500 working in the fashion and design sectors, all belonging to the mid/high-end segment. “Our export share amounts approximately to 30-35%,” stated Innocenti, “and the foreign markets can guarantee significant growth margins, especially Eastern European nations and, in perspective, North Africa as well. We can rely on a well-established network of agents and distributors located in several countries, including Spain and Portugal.”
