At the Septermber edition of Simac Tanning Tech, the company, based in San ffiovanni Lupatoto (Verona), will debut a cutting-edge machinery, following successful July tests and delivery to a leading tanning industry player.
One of the most eagerly awaited innovations at the 2025 Simac Tanning Tech, scheduled to run in Milan from September 23rd to 25th, will be showcased at the Costruzioni Meccaniche Persico booth. Specializing in the production of continuous fleshing machines, a segment where they are a global leader, the company is set to unveil a new fleshing machine that’s poised to significantly impact the international market and mark a breakthrough. “What you’ll see at our booth,” explains Alberto Nieri, CEO of Costruzioni Meccaniche Persico, “is a medium-sized model. The series will later be completed with a larger twin. The real innovation isn’t the machine’s ‘size,’ but its underlying technology, specifically its operating system. It addresses all the demands of today’s tanneries: a fast, intuitive machine that’s incredibly easy to use and maintain. I don’t want to sound arrogant, but this represents a small revolution in fleshing. Once it hits the market, it will be hard to go back to current methods. When a tannery can structure its production with a machine designed this way and featuring such sophisticated technology, replacing it with anything else will be out of the question. Naturally, we expect considerable curiosity and interest. Many of our clients and industry professionals, already informed about this ‘debut,’ are eager to see it in person. We achieved this outstanding model by leveraging and continuously implementing existing technologies, combined with decades of experience in the market.” The journey to launch this new fleshing machine onto the Italian and international markets has been a long one, spanning approximately two years, and notably meticulous and thorough on the part of the Research & Development department and the Technical Office. The first model has already been delivered to a prominent industry player. “We conducted the final tests between late spring and early summer,” Nieri elaborates, “and then in the first ten days of July, the machine was delivered to a significant industry within a larger Group. This isn’t just a regular client; they are a crucial and invaluable partner with whom we collaborated on developing highly innovative technology. This fleshing machine boasts a low environmental impact due to the absence of a hydraulic system and reduced consumption. It’s safe, designed to minimize operator stress and enhance productivity, and exceptionally simple to maintain.” This significant launch will undoubtedly be the highlight of the Venetian company’s presence at this year’s trade event. “We anticipate,” concludes Alberto Nieri, “significant interest in our technology during the exhibition, and especially in the months that follow, when we’re confident many will turn to us. For our part, the first half of the year has shown positive results, particularly in terms of sales and collections, even if costs are still rising and challenging to manage. Economically, especially in our sector, it’s difficult to foresee the current year as a period of recovery. Our hope is that this will materialize, perhaps from the early months of 2026, for tanneries and subsequently for machine manufacturers.”
