DMS from Montecchio Maggiore, was invited to Eurocongress in Vicenza, then exhibited at Tanning Tech in Milan. Improvements to the entire range of machines and new products are coming in 2023
“We have further lowered the energy consumption of our machines.” With these words Dario Rubbo, the owner, together with Diego Cailotto from the company, based in Montecchio Maggiore. A municipality belonging to the tanning district of Arzignano, founded in 1997 and present on the market with the double brand DMS ITALIA and DMS INTERNATIONAL.
They have announced the main innovations in its range of machinery, which is already successfully on the Italian and international markets. The Veneto-based manufacturer was among the exhibiting companies at the Tanning Tech trade show in Milan in September, while in the preceding days it had the honour of being invited to Eurocongress 2022, hosted at the Vicenza Fair, where its technological innovations were deemed specialized by the expert jury. At both exhibitions, DMS presented the “strong point” of the RC PAINT models, consisting of padding machines for roller finishing of leathers: in Milan in the elegantly set up stand, with additional space, allowed the RC PAINT 1800 to also be exhibited.
“The lowering of consumption of DMS models,” Rubbo emphasized, “can be absolutely demonstrated and guaranteed. For us, however, this was not a sudden change of course, since we have been working on research related to less energy use for several years, and even before the “price” emergency, we were at the top in this area. Another innovation presented at the latest fairs, has been the RC PAINT 3400 model, which features a water recirculation system that can be applied to smaller machinery in the future. In this case we have reduced the washing discharge, reducing water consumption by a significant 50 percent, which again we can certify: in fact, this count involved one of our machines that has already been in operation for 8 months in a tannery in the Arzignano district.”
“In the final report,” he adds, “we can say that 2022 was a fruitful year, because we were able to continue with the evolution of our machines, with important innovations that will be presented soon.
Announcements will be made in 2023, at the moment we prefer not to announce anything. In particular on a new machine, which is really innovative, in these last few months of the year, the testing and trial phase has continued: inside a tannery of a client, where it is already operational, we are allowed to make the necessary changes to make it really excellent. I can anticipate that the innovations will concern various components, including sprays and fumes, but also in the mechanics area we will amaze everyone a bit.”
The last lines of the DMS owner concern international markets. “With China at a standstill,” Rubbo concludes, “it is inevitable for entrepreneurs to turn their attention to other areas of the world, such as India, Central America and South America. In Europe, the conditions for significant growth do not seem to be in place, while I have confidence looking ahead to 2023 in the Italian market, albeit with the enigma related to energy costs. On raw materials, the situation has improved compared to the first half of the year, the remaining problems concern electrical components, again conditioned by the Chinese market, which was a leader in the sector.”
