EXENA, A+A Düsseldorf report

Exena has been manufacturing safety footwear with high technological and quality standards since 1998. Research, innovation and control at every stage of production are the strengths of its products. There are also many new things coming up for the Marche company. We spoke with Lorenzo Binci, from the marketing department of Exena.

“Exena presented some important innovations at the fair: firstly, the new items in the LEVITY-X ‘STARDUST’ line in S1P. Secondly, all the new colours of the NITRO (in PVC) and THUNDER (in Polyurethane) safety boots lines. The latest editions of many items in the X-LIGHT and ACTIVE lines were also presented. Last but not least, we presented some pilot projects, such as the ARTICO and POLARE lines of padded boots and the Levity-X with Vibram soles.
The feedback from the fair was undoubtedly positive. There was a lot of interest in our product range as a whole and we can be particularly satisfied with the number of new contacts created. An interesting aspect was the fact that these new contacts came from all over the world and that they appreciated the fact that the product we offer is designed and developed in Italy.
Regarding the industry trend in general, we have noticed a certain wait- and-see attitude on the part of many current clients, both in confirming orders for the references they currently have in their product range and in introducing potentially successful new ones. Following the flurry of demand in the immediate post-Covid period, there is now a tendency of uncertainty for future sales trends. In spite of this, there is cautious optimism for the medium term 2024, thanks also to some macroeconomic developments, which seem likely to ease the trend of the European and world economy as a whole (stabilisation of interest rates, new financing for European tenders for major works, stabilisation – or at least ‘moderate increase’ – of transport and customs tariffs).
Exena is active in the market for safety and work shoes but also in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector through its own brand SafeWay. At the A+A trade fair, the final editions of the top articles of the ESSENCE collection were presented, the shoes for the catering and hotel sector with soles made entirely of EVA.”
