A LEADER IN THE PRODUCTION OF POLYURETHANE-COATED MATERIALS FOR THE FOOTWEAR AND LEATHER GOODS SECTORS, GIARDINI LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH THE PRIMARY GOAL OF SATISFYING CLIENT NEEDS.
Many challenges have been met since 1937, but one in particular defines the identity of a company consistently dedicated to quality and innovation: offering customers maximum expressive freedom through customizable solutions capable of transforming every idea into a finished product. An international reference point in the production of polyurethane coated materials, microfibers, synthetic, and technical materials for leather goods, as well as for fashion, athletic, and safety footwear, Giardini prioritizes customer satisfaction while safeguarding its internal production chain, from the coagulated base to finishing, which generates value and guides long-term success. “Our efforts are now substantially geared toward effectively satisfying and managing the direct requests of the clients we serve, whose profiles have changed in recent years,” states Giuseppe Bocca, Product Manager. “Every season we debut new proposals, updating the colors and the range of products in our collection, supported by a foundation of classic items that showcase our potential. However, the majority of what we send into production stems from specific needs dictated by luxury brands, by those who create fashion, and by those who drive trends.” Customization is the watchword for every project, the key to a new way of conceiving work. “We no longer maintain a true catalogue of new products, because everything can become an innovation, meaning everything can be reconfigured and modulated with characteristics requested by the customer, for example, regarding eco-sustainability or extreme resistance under every aspect.”
For several years now, Giardini’s activity has been concentrated on supplying products for technical and safety footwear, a market characterized by functional rather than aesthetic requirements compared to fashion. “Today, the majority of our turnover comes from the sale of technical products, a definition under which we can group all those items that function as reinforcement and support, imparting a specific shape, a certain handle, or a resistance characteristic.” The company based in Vigevano is also highly active on the sustainability front, the genuine kind based on certifications, which is no longer an option, but a lifestyle choice requiring cultural change and conscious daily actions to preserve the planet’s balance. “For Giardini, sustainability is a technical characteristic of the product,” Giuseppe Bocca continues. “We drive the concept of sustainability by applying it directly within the articles; this is where our innovation resides. Alongside traditional products, we offer the customer a catalogue of basic, classic items that have been converted into versions with increasingly advanced eco-sustainable features, in response to more and more stringent regulations and laws, for which the company has recently secured some of the sector’s most important certifications.”
