ILM Offenbach – SUMMER STYLES A more innovative offer, a more international audience
The must-attend event in the medium-high end leather goods sector ILM Offenbach – Summer Styles closed its doors, after having hosted nearly hundreds of professionals in seek of the latest fashion trends.
The exhibition, came to its 70th anniversary, is established as a worldwide-renowned hub: more than 300 exhibitors welcomed suppliers from all over the world, a fact that underlines the increasingly international appeal of the event. Beyond Europe, more and more buyers from the USA, Asia and the Middle East are coming to Offenbach to place their orders. On display, a wide array of products, all boasting excellent quality: travelware or leisure bags, but also accessories such as belts, gloves, umbrellas, made up a glamorous, intriguing selection for the SS 20, always with an eye to green fashion and sustainability, necessary topics to build up a successful brand nowadays.
Besides the usual enthusiasm shown towards the initiatives undertaken during the three-day show, one of the events that most stand in the limelight is the awarding ceremony for the ILM Offenbach Award competition, held on the second day of the fair. Both organizers and the exhibition team were fully satisfied with this edition, as pointed out by Arnd Heinrich Kappe, director of ILM Offenbach: “We are delighted that the ILM offers exhibitors and visitors a stable and secure shore in these turbulent times.” The newest fall – winter 2020/21 collections will be on display at next edition of ILM Offenbach – Winter Styles, scheduled February 29th – March 2nd, 2020. www.ilm-offenbach.de

these are the three categories in which the well-renowned ILM Offenbach Award is divided. The contest judges established or emerging brands in terms of quality, innovation and design, awarding the winners with a substantial cash prize. A jury consisting of industry professionals has awarded three different brands, which this year celebrated, together with the fair itself, the important 70th anniversary. And the winners were:
Best in Basics – Braun Büffel with its functional, refined briefcase, with an artisanal appeal
Best Newcomer – the brand Bree with its suitcase made in a perfect balance between style and functionality
Best in Fashion – MDLR with an exquisite minimalist shoulder strap bag
