Safety and performance redefined: Inline’s new expanded polyurethane sole for safety and military footwear
Inline, specializing in the production of high-performance footwear insoles, was founded 25 years ago by four partners. After years of leadership by Riccardo Cognigni’s father, the company now thrives under Riccardo’s guidance.
“We manufacture injection-molded plastic insoles,” Riccardo explains. “Our diverse product range spans from ultra-lightweight, durable carbon fiber insoles to those with advanced technical specifica-tions for safety footwear. Our latest innovation is an expanded polyurethane sole. Having just com-pleted rigorous testing, we’re excited to move into full-scale production. This remarkable sole is lightweight, functional, and 100% recyclable.”
Inline is currently undertaking significant investments in advanced technology, state-of-the-art ma-chinery, and comprehensive employee training programs. This strategic initiative is driven by the in-creasing difficulty in finding qualified professionals. To overcome this hurdle, the company has adopted a proactive approach, focusing on recruiting and nurturing young talent. This strategy has enabled Inline to confidently navigate the challenges faced within the fashion industry, finding new opportunities in promising sectors such as safety and military footwear.
“Despite the prevailing market headwinds,” Riccardo adds, “we remain committed to sustainability and are actively pursuing GRS certification. Our objective is to solidify our position within niche mar-kets like safety and military, which demonstrate greater resilience and dynamism.”
