The Fontana brand look to the future and gets ready to boost the Jackal Milano offer with a line completely dedicated to clothing. This, in addition to the strengthening of e-commerce activities through the company e-shop, are the intentions raised at the latest in Micam by the Di Battista family, owner of the Fontana brand founded in 1979. “The Fontana brand was established and developed by my father – underlines Luca di Battista – who started at the time producing shoes in his home garage. Since 2007, after taking it over from a commercial company, we have also had acquired the Jackal Milano brand, more focused on the production of sporty footwear for both men and women, who are also able to buy these items online. In the future, under the same brand, we do not rule out introducing a production line also in the clothing sector.” Overall, a family business with eight employees whose activities are partly in-house and partly outsourced. “The pattern making as well as cutting and hemming are external while the prototyping, creation of the first shoe, assembly and finishing activities are followed in-house.” Warehouse and production are managed on an eight hundred square meter building in Montegranaro in the province of Fermo, in the Marche region. The market is largely Italian although there is a presence abroad in various countries, especially Eastern Europe, Russia and even Arab countries. “Our presence at Micam was rewarding and we hope to keep and improve it the next editions. We have the feeling that things are evolving positively and for this reason we can say we are optimistic.”
