With a strategically positioned stand that enhanced its visibility and captured the attention of a buzzing audience, Komet returned to Lineapelle. Their presence was bolstered by a bespoke exhibition design project, meticulously developed to articulate the company’s identity, amplify its core message, set it apart from the competition, and forge an emotional connection with visiting customers.
“We deliberately aimed for a stand that was ‘unmistakably Komet,’” states Gioia Baldo, Sales & Marketing, representing the second generation of the family business alongside her brother Mattia and sister Sara. “The goal was to convey the distinctiveness and innovative edge of a company that offers a 360-degree service in the finishing of leathers and synthetic products, leveraging deep entrepreneurial expertise rooted in the sector’s history. Today, the company founded by our father Gianfranco in 1991 has perfected its provision of release papers, cylinders, tapes and laminates, complemented by prompt support and consulting services designed to meet every innovation demand.”
Release papers and printing cylinders constitute the company’s core offerings, showcased at the fair through customizable Komet-branded samples and designs. These demonstrate the capabilities of an organization adept at selecting and proposing the optimal technical solutions to achieve the desired outcome, drawing on extensive experience in the engineering of application machinery and systems.
The official highlight of the exhibition was the latest innovation targeting companies that, while lacking industrial coating equipment, seek state-of-the-art finishes using high- performance release papers. “The new pre-coated paper rolls,” concludes Gioia Baldo, “can even be utilized with a basic hot rotary press, equipment that nearly all tanneries possess. The film coated onto the paper perfectly bonds to the leather, ensuring high- definition pattern transfer in less time.”
The next frontier involves research and testing, in collaboration with leading chemical product houses, to develop novel coating effects on the paper, all while maintaining Komet’s hallmark reliability.
