These are the words coming from the company, which for almost thirty years has been known as a trusted partner for tanneries with a range of always innovative and cutting-edge products. That’s the case of Microbase, one of the latest items developed by Microfilm, that is a uniforming, low-thickness transfer primer able to minimize the use of finishing chemicals resulting in a drastic reduction in costs, emissions and pollution This article, in addition to improving the quality of the finishing, is able to smooth out many imperfections, improving the quality and appearance of the leather, thus giving even second choice leathers a perfect look. This is only the latest in a vast range of products, recently even more varied given the uncertainty of the market, which does not follow a specific trend and which requires more and more alternatives in terms of yield, quality and appearance.
“In such an historical period, our strategy is to offer different types of products, in particular patterns, foils, transparent sequins, solid lacquers, to which we add innovative varnishes that are able to change the appearance of the leather, improving it considerably.” Thanks to the ability to maintain their characteristics even in conditions of rubbing, light exposure and other special situations, the films produced by Microfilm are able to meet the needs and demands of fashion houses to the best possible extent. To constantly deal with the world of fashion means renewing and offering new solutions continuously: flowers, animalier, geometries, spots, clouds, etc., a wide range of transparent HO designs, and almost 100 different colors of metallic foils, are just a few proposals of the company’s wide portfolio, also highlighted by the high strength LHR foil and by the VT 500, a heat-adhesive transfer varnish that can be finished and doesn’t require reparation with coupling resins; it can be opacified, plate printed, colored and finished. Microfilm articles are used for clothing, furnishings, shoes, bags, for industrial applications, on plastics and PVC: Microfilm’s working areas are vast and diversified.
