A new Italian innovation hub dedicated to the world of fashion and luxury has emerged, focusing on cutting-edge finishes, materials and processes intended for haute de gamme accessories: Minervahub.
“MinervaHub is an orchestra composing the symphony of Italian luxury.” This is how Matteo Marzotto, a prominent figure in the fashion world and president of MinervaHub, describes this innovative industrial hub, managed since June 2023 by San Quirico S.p.A., one of the major Italian industrial holding groups. This union of excellence has given rise to a unique business model. The goal? To elevate the concept of luxury, making it sustainable and responsible. Indeed, MinervaHub is not merely a conglomerate of 25 outstanding companies, but a true ecosystem where creativity intertwines with the most refined craftsmanship. The group carefully selects the best companies in the manufacturing supply chain, each contributing a wealth of unique knowledge and skills. This diversity is an asset, allowing MinervaHub to offer a comprehensive and personalized range of services capable of satisfying even the most discerning demands of luxury brands.
But what makes this model so special?
The answer lies in a key concept: integration. MinervaHub coordinates all shared functions of the companies, from research and development to marketing and production. This fosters synergies and optimizes resources, ensuring consistent growth and continuous improvement. “Our goal is to enhance each individual company, preserving its identity and traditions,” explains Marzotto. “We want to create a network of excellence working together towards a common goal: to be the best in the world.” MinervaHub represents a new frontier for “Made in Italy,” a development model that prioritizes both people and the environment. It’s an ambitious project poised to leave a lasting mark on the world of luxury, which we explore further with Giuseppe Cerea, Head of the Metal & Accessories Business Unit at MinervaHub.
How was Minerva Hub born, and what was its genesis?
“Minerva Hub emerged in 2019 from an ambitious vision: to unite the Italian excellences of the fashion and luxury sector by creating a platform offering complete and integrated solutions. The idea was to bring together companies with complementary skills, from metalworking to embroidery, to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of international brands. The convergence with Matteo Marzotto’s project, focused on the value chain, accelerated this process, giving life to a robust and diversified group.”
What is Minerva Hub’s mission, and how does it fit into the luxury market?
“Our mission is to redefine industry standards by offering an innovative and sustainable model for collaboration. We aim to create an ecosystem where companies can grow together, sharing resources and expertise to meet the ever-increasing demands of luxury brands. Our goal is to become a benchmark for the market, guaranteeing the highest quality, flexibility, and traceability of products.”
How is Minerva Hub’s offer structured, and what are your main assets?
“Our offer is extensive, covering the entire luxury supply chain, from metals to fine leathers, encompassing embroidery and plastics. We have organized our activities into distinct areas, each focused on a specific expertise. This allows us to offer customized and tailor-made solutions for each client. Another strength is our ability to integrate the diverse skills within the group, ensuring efficient management and consistent quality.”
What feedback are you receiving from the market, and how do you evaluate the group’s growth?
“We are seeing tremendous interest from brands, who appreciate our ability to provide comprehensive and innovative solutions. The group’s growth has been consistent and significant, both in terms of turnover and the number of associated companies. This demonstrates the validity of our business model and the growing demand for integrated and sustainable solutions in the luxury sector.”
How is Minerva Hub’s governance organized, and what is the role of the founding partners?
“MinervaHub is first and foremost an industrial project, before being a financial one. Its structure allows us to combine the agility and flexibility of a company with the solidity and long-term vision of a large industrial group. The founding members keep a strong involvement in the project, bringing their know-how and their passion for excellence. The aggregative dynamic, which to date has brought the number of companies which joined the Group to 25, is combined with an unceasing integration activity, which represents something truly new in the luxury supply chain market – the operations have not changed, rather the “system” includes many ssential skills and experiences, which when put to use, represent an extraordinary potential and this concerns everyone including the President Matteo Marzotto and the Group CEO Alessandro Corsi, with long-term experience in the sector. The upstream management provided by the San Quirico group, with a multigenerational industrial history and an equivalent vision of the future, provides further stability and motivation to develop new ideas, products and services for our customers.”
What are the future prospects for Minerva Hub, and what challenges do you intend to address?
“The outlook is very positive. The luxury market is constantly evolving, and brands are always seeking reliable and innovative partners. We want to be at the forefront of this evolution, continuing to invest in research and development, cutting-edge technologies, and new skills. While many challenges lie ahead, we are confident in our ability to overcome them successfully, thanks to our team and our business model. We invite companies to embrace innovative projects like ours, which represent the future of the luxury industry.”
