RELAXSHOE: “Always focusing on our identity”
Relaxshoe, “Today, a strong product identity, able to distinguish a company, is essential: this is the philosophy we’ve been carrying out for years, collaborating with our customers to find increasingly popular solutions.” That’s what Gianfranco Modenese, chairman of the directors’ board of Relaxshoe, based in Verona, stated about the current situation of the footwear sector.
At the latest edition of the Micam, he launched the SS19 trends. Among these, the search for authenticity, which is embodied in timeless accessories, from the drawings and prints that build up the history of a brand.
Relaxshoe is a historical brand of Italian footwear. A long history lived with passion and tenacity, which began in the 60s when Gianfranco Modenese laid the foundations of the success of what is today the Relaxshoe Srl. Innovative, dynamic, lively, imaginative and always at the forefront: this is the spirit of the company headquartered in San Giovanni Ilarione (Verona). The “Relaxshoe” line features comfort shoes for woman – slippers, sandals, shoes, boots, all made in leather. The second line, called “Galmod”, suitable for men, women and children, is instead focused on the production of injection-mold rain boots, garden clogs, après-ski.
“It is essential for us to use the materials properly and not to save on quality, as the customer wants quality at the right price – explains Gianfranco Modenese, chairman of the directors’ board of Relaxshoe, based in Verona. While conceiving a new collection, we always remain faithful to our line and quality, thus conveying a clear and precise message to our clients.”
The story begins with the company ‘Modenese Srl Creations Luca Shoe’. In just one decade, it became known all over the world for its sandals and women’s shoes with anatomical insoles, a guarantee of comfort. Thanks to its boots and plastic sandals, it soon became an Italian leader for the exports to Germany, Scandinavia and the United Arab Emirates. In 1984, Relaxshoe Srl was founded and the first women’s collection of leather shoes took shape, an expression of comfort and well-being. In 1985, Galmod Srl, a manufacturer of injection plastic shoes, was established. In a few years, it became an important private label company, able to collaborate with well- known international brands thanks to its production capacity and flexibility, constant innovation and evolution in the research of materials, shapes and colors. Today, the turnover of the Relaxshoe group is over 50 million euro, of which 70% from the foreign markets.
“During the Micam we met our historical customers, who came to greet us; we’ve also collected new contacts, all to be developed in the coming weeks – continues Modenese –. We spread our shoes all over the world, especially in the European market and Australia, while in the US we are working to relaunch the brand with new distributors.”
Another branch of the Veronese group is EASY’NROSE, the exclusive and refined top line in the range of leather shoes.
