ShoesRoom By MOMAD March 1st al 3rd 2019 new event in Madrid for footwear professionals, with a new philosophy adjusted to the needs of the sector.

From September 7 th to 9 th , 2018, the IFEMA – Feria de Madrid fairgrounds hosted a brand-new edition of both MOMAD Metrópolis, the International Fashion Trade Show, and MOMAD Shoes, the International Footwear and Accessories Trade Show: domestic and foreign companies – ranging from renowned brands to first-timers and up-and-coming talents – put on display a wide array of collections designed for the 2019 Spring/Summer season as well as a selection of 2018- 2019 Fall/Winter fast fashion lines that encompassed several categories of articles such as apparel, footwear, leather goods and accessories.

Said product portfolio was further widened thanks to the concurrent scheduling with PUERICULTURA MADRID, the International Professional Exhibition of Children’s Products – a clever decision that helped gather under the same roof several segments of the fashion supply chain, thus effectively fostering fruitful cross-boundary partnerships and profitable networking opportunities, while providing a comprehensive overview of the main market trends and of the latest innovations.

As a matter of fact, the merchandise variety, the efficient organization and the well-structured layout aroused the interest of 15,120 visitors, including a growing number of overseas brands and buyers proceeding from strategic markets. Noteworthy the positive feedback concerning the special exhibition segments, as in the case of the Sustainable Experience area that registered a marked growth in the number of attending companies and in terms of scale; equally successful was Momad 4.0, the exclusive space set up in collaboration with Adigital (Association of Digital Economy), that housed firms specialized in pivotal branches such as logistics, big data, customer experience and IT.

Besides trade-oriented activities, the organizers arranged also an eclectic line- up of well-attended side initiatives, including conferences, workshops, daily fashion shows, trend forecast seminars and exhibitions. Sponsored by Correos, Momad Forum was one of the highlights of the fairs – widely praised by professionals as a perfect knowledge dissemination hub, with a special focus on sustainability and digitisation.
