Fimat has launched a new dosing technology in the color kitchen sector featuring advantages in terms of accuracy, speed of execution, ease of use and maintenance
“We have moved from the concept of a conventional system to that of a dosing machine,” says engineer Mauro Leoni, CEO of Fimat, a Como-based company boasting many years of proven experience in the production of automatic color kitchens and printing machinery and accessories. “The goal achieved in identifying an innovative and original construction solution was to overcome the typical and well-known technical problems that have characterized color kitchens with a traditional system layout in the past (loading units, mezzanine, pipes, dispensers, etc. to be assembled on site). The new project stands out for the pre-assembled modular mono-block structure (Skid) that contains all the components necessary for the correct functioning of the dosing system.” The revisiting of a conventional plant according to the criteria that distinguish a dosing machine has generated a long series of advantages for the customer. “We offer a customized solution, with utmost adaptability to production needs as well as any space limitations within the company,” continues Leoni. “We carry out a preliminary functional test of the color kitchen and all automatic accessory components on site (dosing container feeding systems, mixing lines, used container washing machines, etc.). The loading, transport and positioning methods of the complete Skid are optimized thanks to the modular sizing ‘to fit the platform/container’. The construction times at the customer’s site are extremely short (operational after 2/5 days from delivery) compared to the on-site creation of rigid tube connections and electrical/electronic wiring of the system. We make it possible to quickly replace existing systems with a negligible impact on the operation of the production departments and facilitate the repositioning of the system in the event of changed logistical needs or transfer to other production sites”.
The supply of turnkey systems, together with on-site assistance and after-sales service, are an essential feature of Fimat’s modus operandi and some of the key factors of its success in the world. The on-site installation and reassembly operations and start-up of the color kitchen are carried out by specialized and expert internal staff, integrated to a minimal extent by local non-specialized laborers.
Fimat’s experience, consolidated over years of collaboration with the main international industrial groups and with the major high fashion brands, is available to customers for a partnership aimed at achieving the highest traceable and sustainable quality.
