Manifattura Pri.Ma.Tex returned to the latest edition of Lineapelle, spotlighting several new products specifically engineered to boost protection and safety while streamlining manufacturing processes. Particularly in the realm of athletic footwear, the company based in Prato unveiled highly structured new 3D jacquard upper fabrics and innovative through-hole meshes for summer use. These new meshes feature excellent retention properties while simultaneously affording the foot superior breathability, freshness, and lightweight comfort. Also prominent among the latest releases are high- tenacity polyester upper fabrics, which deliver outstanding footwear performance. These can be customized via sublimation printing with various designs offered by the company or tailored to client specifications, thanks to the in-house graphic design department. However, the overarching mission of Manifattura Pri.Ma.Tex centers on developing advanced, high-performance technical fabrics for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This mission is fulfilled by consistently seeking to elevate safety standards well beyond mandatory regulations, ensuring absolute comfort for frequent use, all while drawing inspiration from the newest trends in aesthetic innovation. DY-LIGHT is a textile anti- perforation felt laminate designed for 3mm nails (PS), offered in a super-conductive version. It consists of a single layer, only three and a half millimeters thick, with consistent and stable thickness across its entire surface. These attributes make the product not only the lightest on the market but also the easiest to process during production. Because it is neither laminated nor co-needled, DY-LIGHT enables clean cutting without the risk of delamination and simplifies skiving. Furthermore, it guarantees flawless adhesion when paired with thermoplastic materials or polyurethane injections. Its super-conductivity values remain stable over time, thanks to the integrated percentage of graphene fiber. The hybrid version, DY-TWIN, represents the optimal balance between two anti-perforation types: textile and felt. It comprises a layer of fiber anti-perforation fabric and an upper felt layer, a winning combination for lightness, breathability, and processability, offered at a highly competitive market price. Previewed at Lineapelle in September, the DY-TWIN project took center stage at the A+A trade fair for occupational safety in Düsseldorf last November.
