“VISIONI”: OBJECTIVES MET FOR SIMAC TANNING TECH’S VIDEO FORMAT

The three-day event was packed with meetings, discussions and, crucially, visions for the market, its future prospects, and the necessary turning point required in the world of leather, footwear, and leather goods. The central goal was to achieve a sectoral relaunch and, specifically, to reconnect the younger generations with the conscious consumption of a product rooted in the circular economy. This focus on future perspectives inspired the title ViSIONI (Visions), the format chosen by Simac Tanning Tech to enhance the 51st edition of the world’s leading trade fair for technology and innovation in the fashion sector.
Organized in collaboration with Mpa Style, this “event within an event” brought together key protagonists from across the entire supply chain: from innovators in style and research to representatives from national and international institutions, as well as clients in the footwear, leather goods, and tanning industries. Naturally, the industry’s innovation leaders were also present. The closing remarks were delivered by the President of Assomac, Mauro Bergozza, who concluded the three-day program. This intense and prestigious inaugural edition of Visioni was hosted on the Simac Tanning Tech stage by journalist Andrea Guolo.
Video recordings of the interviews are readily available on the official social media channels of both the trade fair and Mpa Style. The diverse voices featured included those of Bergozza and Assomac’s General Manager, Agostino Apolito, alongside the National Head of Cna Federmoda, Antonio Franceschini, and the Principal Secretary for Industry of the Government of Kenya, Juma Mukhwana (who was also represented by the Ambassador to Rome, H.E. Fredrick Matwang’a).
The roster of distinguished speakers also featured the General Manager of the Experimental Station for the Leather Industry, Edoardo Imperiale, and the Technical Director of the Riviera del Brenta Footwear Polytechnic, Alice Marcato, as well as the Scientific Director of Ctc Ars Tinctoria, Gustavo Adrián Defeo. The business perspective was strong, with contributions from corporate leaders such as Guido Cami (Industrie Chimiche Forestali), Tarcisio Migliorati (Fly Flot), Alberto Panterani (White Line), the “corporate philosopher” Alessandro Bruni, leather artist João Carvalho, and sustainability expert Katie Kutskill.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback received from this debut edition strongly indicates that a second installment will follow in September 2026.
Numerous other participants, whose contributions were vital, can be seen in the images that follow.
