Cartigliano celebrates 30 years of working with Korean agent

Tanning machinery manufacturer Cartigliano is celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of its relationship with its agent in South Korea, Dae Chang Corporation. In October, Dae Chang president, HY Chung, travelled to Italy to celebrate the milestone.

Cartigliano president, Dr Toni Polato, joked that Mr Chung had sacrificed his ambition to become a top golfer to devote his time instead to selling vacuum drying technology, but went on to pay tribute to the friendship and mutual loyalty that has grown between the two companies over the last three decades.

For his part, Mr Chung recalled that his first steps as Cartigliano’s agent in the South Korea of 30 years ago were difficult and that he seemed for a long time to be able to make only tentative approaches to tanners there. But he said success came at last and that, step by step, even “reference names of great standing” in the Korean market came on board. He paid tribute to Cartigliano for always providing support, always being ready to listen to clients and being willing to solve their problems and, in this way, offer them added value.
Cartigliano presented Mr Chung with a trophy and a Montegrappa pen, while he insisted on inviting the 100-plus people who work at the Cartigliano headquarters to lunch.
