At the February 2019 edition of Simac Tanning Tech, BERGI Spa – company headquartered in Arzignano, leader in the design, manufacturing and sales of tanning machinery and automations – showcased not only several new machines, but also significant upgrades for other existing models. “During the fair,” explained Mauro Bergozza, manager of the firm established in 1965 by his father, “we have aroused a lot of interest, thanks also to excellent turnout levels, far superior to those registered in previous trade shows held in India, Pakistan and Hong Kong. Undoubtedly, the Industry 4.0 incentives, launched two years ago by the Government as a support to the development of the mechatronics sector, are paying off, now acknowledged as an effective tool to boost the performances and quality standards of the technological products.”
Among the companies on the rise, there is also BERGI, whose new models have already won over the global market. “At Tanning Tech,” explained Bergozza, “we have exhibited Supervario T, that is, the heavy-duty through-feed ironing machine designed specifically for the furnishing and the automotive sectors. A machine for larger grains, provided with a support roller featuring a larger diameter compared to other models already available on the market, thus resulting in a longer period under pressure, as well as with a leather pre-heating system in the “spreader”: in this way, we have managed to reduce the thermal shock, allowing to process leather faster and at lower temperatures.
For the second year in a row, we have put on display the stacker Modello Compact, provided with Pegasus, namely, the automatic spreading system to load hides on the horse, that aroused the interest of the industry players, as confirmed by the fact that we have plenty of orders for the upcoming eight months. One of our flagships for the next future will be the new belt buffing machine Attiva, featuring the “spreading” feeding conveyor, widely praised by our customers and by professionals. The machine entails interesting innovations even for the processing of soft hides. Last but not least, we have showcased a new work line to prepare leathers (usually medium-sized cowhides) with an adhesive base and a hot coupling machine designed to combine a transfer finish with a support film, either a pigmented or embossed release paper, or a polyester film. The first one is the roller coating machine Softcoat, that ensures top-notch quality standards especially on soft hides, while the second is Finilux TR, conceived to guarantee the finishing anchoring.”
“Our export share,” confirmed the Mauro Bergozza, managing partner of the company together with his brothers Alberto and Federico, “ranges from 65% to 75%, according to the market performance, and our sales network comprises more than 50 countries worldwide, basically where there is a demand for the treatment of top-quality hides. Our company as well has benefitted from the Industry 4.0 incentives, widening the range of machines for the processing of mechanical parts by adding state-of-the-art technologies, thanks also to significant investments.
