The spring edition of Obuv’ Mir Kozhi successfully ended in Moscow last March; a great satisfaction was expressed by the Italian footwear producers involved. Around 4,500 professional operators attended the event over the four days of the exhibition that hosted 110 exhibitors, out of which 50 were representing the Italian label.

The second edition of Obuv’ Mir Kozhi organized according to a brand-new format designed to allow a physical presence (it was one of the few foreign events to actually take place), proved to be very successful: the samples of national footwear producers were brought to Russia in order to be showcased, and qualified Russian personnel was provided to each stand so to enable manufacturers to negotiate the orders remotely and to interact with the buyers in Moscow.

Thanks to Obuv’ Mir Kozhi, the organizers BolognaFiere and Assocalzaturifici have made an important contribution to the exports recovery of Italian footwear to Russia; this was confirmed by the large number of Italian companies that showed their faith in the event, in spite of the extremely delicate situation characterized by the extension of the pandemic emergency that has persisted on an international scale for more than a year.

“Now, for the autumn edition of Obuv’ Mir Kozhi,” declared Antonio Bruzzone, General Manager of BolognaFiere, “we hope to see a further attendance increase of Italian companies, which we will support with a massive commitment to ensuring the best conditions for meeting with buyers. Naturally, at the same time, we hope that the progression of the vaccination campaign will make it possible to hold a live event in Moscow and resume trade fair activities. Last year, during which exhibition activities were suspended in Italy and abroad, has highlighted the strategic importance of fairs for exports and we have tried to support our industrial chains with new digital formats.”

As Obuv Mir Kozhi, our association carries on its commitment to supporting the companies’ internationalization and their penetration into foreign markets thanks to the participation in global fairs that represent an irreplaceable opportunity to get into contact with local buyers and extend their business horizons.”

The next edition of Obuv’ Mir Kozhi is scheduled to be held in Moscow next October 19 – 21, 2021.
