PAJUSCO TECNOLOGIE, based in Montebello Vicentino, is a producer of cutting-edge systems for the tanning sector, such as automations and drums with related accessories. The company is among those that had already restarted working even before the post-pandemic “green light”.
In 2020, the worst for all world markets, but also in the first half of 2021, the Veneto-based company carried out an intense R&D activity, which led to innovations related to new technological solutions, capable of leading to the launch of three to four new patents in 2021.
Olimpio Storti
“Actually, we never stopped – underlines Olimpio Storti, Sales Manager – some of our technicians have also traveled around the world, undergoing a double quarantine on the outward and return journeys. In recent months, I have made some long journeys throughout Europe, too: I went by car, bringing some food from home, because all the premises were closed. Now, the tanning sector is finally getting started again in Italy, so we working mainly in the leather district of Arzignano, of which we are part, as well as in Tuscany and Campania. At the moment we have dealing with many tanning entrepreneurs, old and new, who, as never before, are looking for automation and innovation: after almost a year and a half of lost incomes and very few orders, they find in Pajusco the ideal solution to their problems. Every investment is based on the most advanced technology possible, that, most of the times, is ahead of the competition; moreover, our products are fully customizable, according to power, space and use. This has always been our real strength.”
A concern is instead linked to the procurement of raw materials. “For some of these – concludes Storti – prices incomprehensibly skyrocketed. Even transport costs have increased by 35-40%. In these conditions, there’s the risk that, in turn, machine manufacturers will increase prices as well. We hope for a system rebalance in a short time.”
