Officina Idraulica Mg headquartered in Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa province), the company boasts forty-five years of experience, going from a small artisan enterprise to a prominent firm in the tanning sector.
OFFICINA IDRAULICA MG, headquartered in Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa province), was founded in 1976 by Armando Marcucci; his son Enrico, believed in the same business’ philosophy of his father and, for more than twenty years, he’s at the helm of the company, trying to overcome this negative moment by making improvements. It is no coincidence that the Tuscan company boasts a 45-yearlong background, a period that, thanks to dedication and passion, transformed a simple artisan company into a leader in the field of thermo-hydraulics, producing small drums, solely in stainless steel, for the tanning sector.
“The market was almost paralyzed – specifies Enrico Marcucci – so we have been able to invest our time in the development of our machinery range, by changing some of the frames and improving the automation, implementing new functions for the making of increasingly efficient systems. As a matter of fact, we are talking about highperformance machinery in the production cycle. An important step forward also concerns the economic-energy aspect, as we are now able to considerably save water and electricity by taking advantage of all the aspects of our patent. This difficult period, which we are finally leaving behind, it was also essential to an important collaboration we undertook; we will unveil at the right time.”
“The current issue concerns the surge in the cost of raw materials. We are forced to face – cries out of the owner of MG – average increases of 30% for steel, which is the material we use the most, +40% for copper and plastic is growing strongly, too. Some increases are absolutely unjustifiable and, unfortunately, have changed market demands. It could become a paradox, but when the pandemic can finally be defeated thanks to vaccines, part of the companies risks to go out of business due to the lack of raw materials.”
