“It was a very profitable period for Ottogalli,” says Luca Bertin, sales manager of the Venetian company specializing in the production of injection machines for the footwear and technical items. “Despite the pandemic, the collection of orders until February 2020, right after the fairs in South America and Italy, and the development of new markets and new technologies in both the footwear and technical sectors let us to register an increase in turnover of 30% by the end of the year.”
Always at the forefront with a far-sighted vision, Ottogalli has heavily invested in the South American markets; as a matter of facts, the company opened two new offices in Colombia and Mexico, equipped with commercial offices and technical assistance, where Italian sales personnel and local technicians work together. “Today we can boast two new strong satellite structures (in addition to those already existing in Peru) that will allow us to further enhance our glorious brand,” continues Luca Bertin.
Machinery upgrading is also in the sights: “Technological development in the technical field has allowed us to enter the automotive market.” Innovation has reached its greatest expression in footwear machinery, where Ottogalli has introduced submerged hydraulic pumps, servo-assisted motors, Wi-Fi connections with Industry 4.0 systems and a 60% decrease in energy consumption.
