Two appointments in the heart of Berlin Fashion Week, on the occasion of which the German capital has once again become a reference point for the international scene in terms of fashion and lifestyle.
The Marche region took part in the German mission with a delegation of 26 companies, 20 from the footwear and leather goods sectors and 6 from the clothing and fashion accessories sector, each of which exhibited with a booth offered by the Region. “The Region – declares Mirco Carloni, regional vice president and councilor for economic development – never stops supporting the relaunch of the Marche economic and manufacturing system, representing an excellence recognized internationally. On the opening day we organized a meeting with buyers, the foreign press and the representatives of the 26 Marche companies, in an area close to our location where our guests could taste typical Marche food and wine”.
Our participation in these events in Berlin – adds Carloni – represented an opportunity, especially for the footwear sector, to consolidate the presence of the Marche products on a relevant market such as the German one in difficult times of the Russian and Ukrainian markets. According to official data, in 2021 Germany represents the main country of our exports of the footwear / leather goods sector of the Marche region, with a share of the country on total exports equal to 12.9%. On the other hand, it is the second important market for the textile/ clothing sector, equal to 12.2% of the total “.
The excellence of the Marche companies was also highlighted through the promotion of the “Marche: Land of Excellence” brand, inaugurated during the Marche week at Expo Dubai 2020, with the aim of enhancing the concept of a rich territory worldwide with excellent companies in many sectors. Even the councilor Mirko Bilò in Berlin as institutional representative for the Marche Region, pointed out the importance of the communication and promotion project, which will be repeated again in other foreign exhibitions. “With this new brand – he said – we want to enhance the excellence that characterizes our Region and generate a unified identity of our territory, in order to increase the recognition and strength of the Marche products on European and world markets to affirm and confirm our international success”.
