Corplast, Choosing quality

Corplast focuses on the sustainability of materials and manufacturing processes with an eye on fashion trends

New soles take centre stage at Corplast at Lineapelle. “While sneaker continue to hold a large segment of the market, the latest trends are winking to the ankle boots, military boots and biker-style boots,” says Loris Liciotti, Key Account Manager at Corplast, the Corridonia-basedv company that is a well-established reference point for the creation of high-end soles in TPR, TPU and EVA for the international footwear industry. “For the coming winter season, big and bold soles will prevail, but always with an eye on the essential theme of light weight. Black, given the aggressive character of the footwear, becomes the dominant element.”
“We are also working on the subject of sustainability,” continues Liciotti. “We have recently obtained the GRS certification that attests the content of pre- consumer and post-consumer recycled materials in our products: the percentage of GRS certified materials that make up EVA soles is around 20-25%, and exceeds 30% in TPR and TPU soles.” In addition to maintaining traceability throughout the entire processing cycle, the granting of this certification also ensures restrictions on the use of chemicals and compliance with environmental and social criteria at all stages of the production chain. “We exclusively use water-based coatings,” Liciotti confirms, “and we have eliminated solvents. Our warehouse is entirely fitted with photovoltaic panels, which make us partially independent from electricity suppliers. The aim is to make the production process more and more environmentally friendly, bringing us closer to the goal of energy autonomy.”
