An exhibition booth turned into a “fashion atelier”: this was the choice made for the Tanning Tech 2019 edition by AEFFE MACHINERY, a strategy bearing witness to a well-established attitude, praised both in Italy and on an international level. Established in 2003 and based in Bientina (Pisa province), right in the heart of the leather district, the Tuscan enterprise has rapidly grown into a prominent name in the design and manufacturing of professional machines for the tanning industry: cutting-edge solutions conceived to successfully meet the clientele’s demands and that actively contribute to the improvement in the sector’s productivity and competitiveness, thus ensuring the utmost efficiency, first-rate performances and top-notch reliability standards.
“This is the challenge that will mark the current year as well as the next ones,” stated Federico Pasqualetti, the firm’s owner, “and we are getting ready to grow further, both from a production perspective and in terms of product quality. However, in pursuing our mission, a key role will be played also by the new strategies: during the fair, we put in the limelight our desire to enhance raw materials and a range of new colours that aroused plenty of interest and curiosity, even among the foreign professionals. Our export share amounts approximately to 70%, but we deal mainly with the fashion sector: therefore, the domestic market is of strategic importance. Currently, there does not seem to be a reference continent able to drive the global economy, yet there are plenty of interesting countries such as Brazil and Mexico.”
The flagship is AEFFE LAB that, as explained by Federico Pasqualetti, “is much more than a simple laboratory, conceived to be a true educational centre for technicians, designers, fashion styles and customers. In some way it can be considered a permanent, in-house exhibition, featuring meetings, events and training programmes. Thanks to these discussion opportunities and to the participation of the leading fashion players as well, we are able to provide everyone with a thorough overview of our machines’ finishing performances.”
