After the success of the first edition of “THE GENERAL STATES OF ITALIAN LEATHER GOODS” held last July 2020 in the exclusive Salone dei Cinquecento – Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Assopellettieri, supported by the Municipality of Florence, set up the second edition of the event next June 28th, at 10.30, in the same location, in order to underline once again the crucial importance of the leather goods sector for the Italian economy and industry and to promote innovative solutions for companies in the sector.
The event, promoted through the claim “United by skin”, will be an unmissable occasion to networking and will host outstanding names in the Italian economic, political and industrial world; it will be the right opportunity to learn more about what the system (institutional and industrial) is doing for leather goods companies and to suggest innovative, valuable solutions.
The first edition of “GLI STATI GENERALI DELLA PELLETTERIA ITALIANA”
Among the sponsors who are supporting the organization of “The States General of Italian Leather Goods”, Savino del Bene, FinPly, YKK Italia, DedaGroup Stealth and Toscana Promozione Turistica; the Main Sponsors will be Intesa Sanpaolo with the Digital Start Up Baemi and EY, world leader in professional auditing and accounting organization, taxation, transaction and advisory services, with whom Assopellettieri will officially present the new, interesting and innovative digital solution created together to make new business in favor of leather goods companies.
This platform, operating 365 days a year, will be the digital version of the new exhibition “Mipel Lab” developed in collaboration with Lineapelle and which will be previewed at Pitti Uomo (June 30th – July 2nd) with a teaser installation. In the heart of the Florentine event, a large “multimedia sculpture” will offer – by skillfully mixing videos dedicated to the different companies and materials linked to fashion trends – an evocative preview of a wide-ranging and articulated project.
Among the many initiatives that the Association has implemented over the last year and a half to support companies in the sector, Assopellettieri has chosen to dedicate a new exhibition to the world of production, with a pioneering concept.
The project looks ahead to the future of our manufacturing industry, which is unique in terms of quality, creativity and savoir faire at global level and represents the largest leather goods production centre. An important record which, if supported and nurtured, can offer opportunities for growth and expansion for Italian companies.
The event’s format is innovative and designed to encourage the meeting of supply and demand, opening up and enhancing new economic scenarios for our country and one of its key sectors of manufacturing excellence.
“Mipel Lab” will therefore become an efficient tool to encourage, expand and optimise opportunities for meetings between brands from all over the world and Italian manufacturing companies that are part of the Assopellettieri network.
