“This year we have made great strides, enriching our collection of textile accessories, laces and ribbons for fashion and safety footwear with a truly rich and surprising range of new items, – says Giuseppe Musti, executive manager of Arpex Textiles srl. “We have included new types of yarns in the collection intended above all for the high-end segment. The ‘plush’ style laces, extremely soft to the touch, or those in bouclé fabric featuring a sponge effect, are very popular. As for the traditional polyester-based yarns, we had fun playing with the imagination, creatively weaving the most varied colors and patterns, from dots to lines to hatches.” While keeping alive the tradition rooted in the territory, the company founded in 1979 has succeeded to innovate and grow in an increasingly demanding and competitive market, interpreting the evolution of products and processes also in a sustainable key. “Our customers ask us for GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified products,” continues Giuseppe Musti. “That’s why we implemented the offer with a range (counting around fifty articles) of 100% recycled polyester yarns. We believe this is the best way to go. The future in our sector is recycled, ecological and 100% recyclable PET, capable of offering the market new yarns and therefore new eco- sustainable items with excellent characteristics in terms of quality and performance.” The company is also focusing on products made with yarns of organic origin: “Alongside cotton polyester (a base of polyester with cotton effect), we treat 100% pure cotton and bio cotton obtained entirely from organic farming in compliance with the most up-to-date regulations. This year we have launched some terry-effect variants in the standard colors (black, white and cream) also in the organic cotton line.” The stylistic research is unceasing and interprets the trends in the best possible way: “Among the new types of yarn we have included nylon with reflective or fluorescent polyester inserts. It is pleasant to the touch and our customers are loving it.”
