At the Tanning Tech show in Milan, Baggio Tecnologie, which specializes in the production and marketing of machines for the tanning industry, displayed its jewels in the range
MAXIMA series, a concentration of absolutely innovative technological solutions applied to staking machines. This is the choice made by the top management of Baggio Tecnologie S.r.l based in Belvedere di Tezze sul Brenta (Vicenza province), founded in 1988 by Dino Baggio (who took part at the show, as seen in the photo, taken at the stand). At the Tanning Tech Show in Milan, the company displayed the four-head staking machine.
“The special feature of this new series,” explain Alberto and Carlotta, the children of Dino, sales managers of the company “is the combination of the traditional reliability of our products with the culmination of years of research and development of new operating systems, resulting in performances, until now never seen before, in terms of yield and quality of leather processing. We have focused specifically on simplifying the management of work processes; by limiting the intervention of personnel interacting with the machinery to a few simple operations, its full potential can be utilized even by less experienced operators. The leading machine model is the T5, the only five- head machine on the market that is gaining enormous success in major national and international realities.”
“For us, the priority,” the Baggio siblings continue, “has always been to meet the needs of our customers. That is why, in addition to the 3400 model, we have introduced the 3600 mm size, which is able to completely process even larger hides. Another flagship, not displayed for reasons of space, is the octagonal milling drum, invented by the company more than 25 years ago. Established in the market thanks to results not achievable with traditional cylindrical versions, it is now re-proposed in the ECO DRY PLUS version, specially designed to reduce energy consumption by up to 25 percent. “Original solutions” sums up the concept of octagonal drum technology. Stepping out of the classic patterns reveals solutions that set new standards in terms of quality and quantity of work. It is easy to understand how the mechanical action of these machines is superior, add to this the higher loading capacity and a considerable reduction of drumming time and of the physiological loss of footage, with the innovative MMS system.”
“At the same time as constantly improving our flagship products,” continue the owners of the manufacturers, “we are pursuing the goal that has always distinguished the philosophy of our company: thinking outside the box. One machine that will be very talked about is the STARGATE, which is the only through-feed vacuum dryer in the world to date on the market, with a useful working span of 2400 mm; soon it will be available in the 3400 mm model to be able to process also bovine hides.”
Regarding the results of Tanning Tech, “we have always believed in trade shows, and the one held in Milan is an international event at home, the main Italian machinery manufacturers have a duty to attend it. We are satisfied with the 2022 edition, which had a good turnout during all three days. It should be noted that, compared to the pre-Covid period, those who visit this kind of exhibition have clear ideas, no one, especially among foreign operators, comes as a tourist.”
The last mention concerns the outlook for markets in 2023. “A large part of our revenues come from abroad so in view of next year, with the borders finally fully reopened, we will be back to work abroad without forgetting the domestic market, which gave us great satisfaction in 2022 and which always turns out to be a point of reference for the entire sector.”
