High expectations for the upcoming exhibition
From December 7th to 10th, 2021, the Expocentre in Moscow will open its doors to host the 25th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition and Forum “Safety and Labour Protection” (BIOT-2021). As matter of fact, after the online event scheduled last year, due to the pandemic emergency and restrictions, pavilions 3 and 7 are going to welcome once again professionals from all over the world.
Organized by the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and by the Association of Designers, Manufacturers and Suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment (ASIZ), with the support of other federal executive authorities, businesses and industry unions, BIOT is now widely acknowledged as the most prominent trade show dedicated to labour protection and industrial safety when it comes to Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe. An event featuring a multi-faceted programme of activities, ranging from conferences (both online and offline) to round tables and workshops, from lectures and seminars to competitions and networking opportunities. BIOT has been conceived to bring together, under the same roof, like-minded people from both Russia and the rest of the world – professionals, manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, members of the Russian government, top managers, and much more, all sharing the same goals and interests, that is, occupational safety and health. Labour safety has gradually grown into a highly strategic issues, more so in light of the pandemic and its aftermath.
BIOT-2021 is set to put on display a comprehensive range of articles, technologies and services, related to the design and manufacturing of personal protective equipment (not only workwear and safety footwear, but also cutting-edge fabrics, components and accessories, even software programmes), to the world of industrial safety (more specifically, solutions devised to provide the utmost protection from any type of risk) as well as to occupational health (with a keen eye for, among other things, industrial healthcare, environmental protection, labour protection management). The exhibition will give to all its attendees the opportunity to learn more about the latest market trends and innovations; at the same time, it will also act as the ideal occasion to gather and share opinions, experiences and insights concerning the most pivotal industry issues. In other words, BIOT is not just a business-oriented fair, but it features a wider scope of action, so as to skilfully encompass the sector’s ever-changing demands and requirements. A commitment carried out with passion and determination for twenty-five years.
The organizers’ expectations for the upcoming edition of the trade show are fairly high: as a matter of fact, the exhibition held back in 2019 was highly successful, as it welcomed 450 exhibitors from 23 countries and delegations of visitors proceeding from 45 nations, in addition to high- profile speakers. Despite all difficulties and travel restrictions, the online event scheduled in 2020 still managed to arouse the interest of over 46,700 registered participants from all over the world and of 380 exhibitors from 20 countries. Both editions featured a programme filled with an ample range of complementary activities, the latter widely praised by the attendees. The ultimate goal is to provide a dynamic, top-quality platform, conceived to browse new products and nurture one’s knowledge, to gather market intelligence and meet new contacts, to share strategic insights and to learn more about the future of the safety industry.
