Since 1956, the French company Bugis has been creating knitted fabrics for the fashion and technical textiles sectors, designing, developing, and producing a wide range of knitted fabric collections intended for luxury ready-to-wear, as well as technical sectors such as personal protective equipment and automotive.
The knitting mill is focused on processing natural fibers, cotton, hemp, wool, and linen, to create renewable and biodegradable fabrics and knits. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified products are made with organic cotton, grown without pesticides and chemicals, helping to restore soil fertility and ecosystem balance. In addition to various Oeko-Tex and GRS certifications, the excellence of Bugis’ French know- how is evidenced by the brand it has been awarded: the “Entreprise du patrimoine vivant,” an official recognition granted by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance to recognize French companies with exceptional artisanal and industrial skills. “We chose to participate in Milano Unica,” explains Bruno Nahan, President and CEO of Bugis, “for its reputation as a high-end trade fair.”
