DERMACOLOR of Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa), specialized in the production of chemical products for leather tanning and processing, both for the wet and for the finishing phase, introduces important innovations.
Our structure – explains Valentina Palagini – is equipped with new larger departments such as the analysis and finishing laboratory, an area of about 2000 square meters for goods storage, a big space for presentations and meetings with customers and the production area next to the plants dedicated to the production of drum and finishing items.
“The company has addressed investments both in bigger working spaces and most in research and development of new products and new production processes, aimed at improving the impact on the environment”, explains the technical director, Andrea Meucci.
Among these innovations, already at the end of year 2020 we introduced an innovative certified process line called D-Light Blue, which obtained the ISO 17033-2019 certification of ethical claims and which allows you to completely skip the so-called pickel phase, the most dangerous chrome tanning phase, with significant advantages in terms of environmental and social sustainability of the product production process and with considerable savings on production times and costs.
Furthermore, our research activities focused on innovation and sustainability to develop FUTURE FIT, a process that allows tanneries to produce and make their leather biodegradable for wastewater and compost.
