This, according to Dario Rubbo, one of the owners of DMS, based in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza province), a company renowned on the national and international tanning market with a double brand: DMS ITALIA, founded in 1997, whose core business revolves around both the sale of an ample array of second-hand overhauled machines and the development of finishing plants and technologies and DMS INTERNATIONAL, founded in 2018 and specialized in the production and sale of leather finishing machines.
“The last international exhibition we attended – explains Dario Rubbo, co-owner together with Diego Cailotto, – was that of Tanning Tech in Milan, in February 2020, then no others have been set up due to the pandemic. More than a year and a half later, Milan will finally host the new edition, from 22 to 24 September; as far as we know, no other shows are planned for 2021, neither in India or China nor in Hong Kong or Brazil, where the big fairs focusing on tannery machinery are usually held. Accordingly, Tanning Tech will be a “world capital”, therefore for Italian and foreign operators it will be essential to be there, both as exhibitors and as visitors. Considering the machinery that we sell, the exhibitions are crucial. At the next edition we will probably have to make a selection according to the space available.
We already applied for the forthcoming fair – concludes Mr. Rubbo – and some of our foreign customers have assured us they will attend, others will be able to decide up to a few weeks before. We will go through an intense working summer; in September we will be able to count on some new patents and we will launch new technologies, although we still have to decide whether to showcase them or not. It is our intention to offer new things, also considering the research and development work carried out in these 15 months.”
