Fly Flot has launched a formula onto the market that has revolutionised the comfort footwear sector, affording it a new style whose strength lies in the youthful soul of the company’s new CEO, Alice Migliorati. Thanks to the merging of Leon Fly srl and Fly Flot srl and the technical skills and know-how of the partners running the company, a new vitality has been acquired that is conquering the world. The success enjoyed at the 4-day MICAM event – the footwear industry’s leading international trade fair – shows how the business of sport fashion adopted by the company is a winning solution. As Alice Migliorati stated, «the new soul of Fly Flot has attracted the attention not only of customers in countries where we are already present, such as Germany, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Israel and the USA, but also new markets like Kuwait, China, Japan and Algeria, where over the next three years we aim to win an important slice of the market that will see our exports soar to over 10 million euro».

All Fly Flot models focus heavily on attention to detail and boast the characteristics of quality and comfort that made them famous and are a key feature of Made in Italy products. Comfort is no longer the enemy of fashion. Today, production is 90% direct-injection polyurethane, created using the exclusive Fly Flot formula at factories in the Province of Brescia. The range includes sandals, slip-ons, flip-flops, slippers and shoes, in both leather and in carefully-selected technical materials; the remaining 10% are models, which have also been designed by the Fly Flot research and development team in Calvisano, made using top-quality materials. These are hand-sewn using traditional artisan techniques that afford the pieces the craftsmanship typical of handmade footwear.

The company invests 6% of its turnover back into research and development and has created an ad hoc department that employs 5 specialists tasked with carrying out research in new materials in order to create models that guarantee increasingly better performance. Particular focus is also given to niche sectors such as ultra-comfort footwear for both men and women, where a unisex, elasticated mesh model has recently been created that has proved hugely successful.

To conquer the world, alongside national distribution, Fly Flot has now also added online distribution, which makes it possible to access the entire collection, thus establishing a direct relationship with potential customers, designed to forge brand loyalty. Results for 2018, have been excellent so far and Alice Migliorati forecasts further growth in 2019.

In the first eight months of 2018, the new Fly Flot leapt forward achieving a turnover of 13 million euro thanks to exports to Germany (21%), France (30%), Belgium (45%) and the USA (60%). The Italian market is also constantly growing and the forecast is that the year will close with a turnover exceeding 18 million euro.
