Glam.Tex, special effects

“We elevate polyester fabrics destined for footwear and leather goods, adapting them to meet the latest sustainability and performance needs of the fashion industry,” says Gualtiero Viganò, the Italian sales representative for Glam.Tex, based in Montegranaro. Their new autumn-winter collection, showcased at Lineapelle, is a celebration of shimmering, metallic, and glittered effects, achieved through cutting-edge technical processes. “Our metallic and mirrored laminates are completely resistant to scratching and abrasion, as their inherent delicacy is protected by polyurethane films that don’t compromise their distinctive shine. These can be customized with embossing, various weaves, prints, and colors.”
Following the EU directive that bans products containing glitter (like greeting cards and cosmetics) to limit microplastic pollution, the company – founded in 2007 from the remnants of Giovanni Crespi di Legnano, that was a distributor in the Marche region – is also gaining recognition for its “faux glitter.” “Traditional glitter tends to flake off, releasing waste,” Viganò continues. “Ours is a glitter effect without the drawbacks of actual glitter, perfectly replicating the original’s aesthetic beauty.” The company, which holds GRS-Global Recycle Standard certification, specializes in high-frequency processing and sublimation digital printing.
