We met Roberto Elisei, Sales Manager of the Group in Italy, who pursues his project with great passion to contribute to the growth of the community inside and outside the company. What are the plans of the Serafini Group for the future and do they include hiring new staff to support the expansion policy of the company?
“In recent years, the Serafini Group has made great progress in this area, continuing to invest not only in professional figures but also in advanced warehousing infrastructure. Recently, the company inaugurated a new vertical warehouse with a considerable investment, leading to a significant increase in the number of staff employed in the management of the warehouse itself.”
After your participation in Lineapelle, what was the feedback from the company regarding the event?
‘In our opinion, it is an event that is increasingly geared towards foreign visitors, as many of our clients do not come to Italy other than for this fair. During the event, we had the opportunity to meet representatives from markets such as Serbia, Ukraine and Turkey, to name but a few. However, in Italy we are well placed due to the presence of our external agents who regularly visit our clients. Nevertheless, attending Lineapelle remains an important event for us. Our company already has a prominent position and a wide product range, which is a rarity compared to our competitors. Many of them are only good in certain product categories, whereas we offer a wide range of solutions. We may not be a leader in all areas, but our service is a key element of our success. We can guarantee extremely fast delivery times, always within a week, for any product, and we do our utmost to meet our client demands.”
What were the key factors that enabled the Serafini Group to achieve a significant increase in turnover despite the difficult period marked by the pandemic and the war?
“The decision to triple the content of our warehouses was a very important choice for us, especially in light of the considerable investments we have made in this sector. In spite of the difficult period caused by the pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, we decided to go against the tide and focus on satisfying needs of our clients in a significant way. This choice has led to an increase in our turnover from around EUR 10 million to EUR 15.5 million in just one year, which is a major achievement for our industry. We are also extremely proud to have achieved a similar increase in our foreign offices, such as in Mexico, where turnover rose from EUR 9 million to EUR 14 million. Despite the difficulties, we performed a real miracle. The end of the war will mark a new beginning for everyone, where only the most skilful will be able to play their cards successfully.”

‘It is important to be realistic, it is not possible to make long-term predictions. However, our Chairman, Marco Serafini, is a great manager and a visionary. We are confident that his leadership will guide us, as it is already doing, along the right path to meet the challenges ahead’.
