Founded 45 years ago as a manufacturer of self-adhesive and double-sided tapes for the footwear and leather goods sector, the Serafini Group is now a global player: headquartered in Civitanova Marche, its organizational structure includes five affiliated companies, including four production sites, as well as an intercontinental sales and distribution network. The Marche-based company has revolutionized the concept of customization, offering a wide range of tailor-made options, allowing its customers to create unique products that reflect their style and identity. But the innovation promoted by Serafini does not stop at customization: the company constantly invests in research into cutting-edge materials, increasingly lighter and more sustainable, and is able to offer eco-friendly solutions without compromising quality and performance.
According to this mission, among the new products presented at the September edition of Lineapelle, several products created for the specific needs of the market stand out, including a microfiber very similar to crust, elasticized microfibers and a new suede microfiber, which for its hand and its writing effect is very similar to suede. The latter is the futuristic Sensuede, an innovative textile-based material perfect for the world of fashion. To the touch, Sensuede is soft, pleasant, almost velvety, and able to convey delicacy and elegance. Coated in PU resin, Sensuede has a 96% textile core which, in addition to guaranteeing a consistency truly similar to the original suede, is also characterized by great resistance.
“Sensuede boasts unparalleled technical characteristics. With his full-bodied and velvety hand, it manages to give support and shape to bags and shoes made with reptile skins, nappa leather and very light materials” says Massimiliano Lamponi, Export Manager, during the trade fair.
Among the other new products presented, two other microfibers stand out. The first, renamed Microline Plus, is a microfiber lining, characterized by extreme breathability, which boasts a superior absorbency compared to traditional leather linings. Antibacterial and hypoallergenic, Microline Plus is also highly resistant to abrasion and is therefore suitable for multiple uses in different sectors.
The second is Antellina, a super microfiber made of polyamide and PU with a writing hand. “It is soft and full to the touch,” continues the manager, “but at the same time it has a low specific weight per square meter and guarantees mechanical characteristics and resistance to wear superior to leather. It is the ideal solution in the safety and trekking shoe sector. In leather goods, it is used both as a frame and as a lining, while the fireproof version is mainly used in the furniture sector.”
Year after year, in addition to implementing the catalog with various items such as microfibers, extruded products, foams, etc., Serafini has increased its raw material warehouses and has invested significantly in new production technologies and in the research of new cutting-edge products, so as to stand out among competitors and build customer loyalty in search of an excellent product. “We expect to have good feedback,” concludes Massimiliano Lamponi, “since these are highly innovative items made with high-quality materials, elements that have always made the entire Serafini production stand out.”
