Guardolificio Tre Bi know-how in the service of excellence

Expertise, innovation, creativity and attention to product quality: this is Tre Bi, a valuable partner

In the heart of the hills of Veneto, among rows of vines and centuries-old olive trees, stands the plant of Guardolificio Tre Bi srl in Cornuda. A company that, with the passion and skill of its craftsmen, has established itself in the fashion world as Italian excellence in the production of high-quality welts. The story of Tre Bi is one of tradition, respect for raw materials and care for the environment. Founded in 1967, the company has been able to hand down from generation to generation the craftsmanship that distinguishes it, without ever stopping to look towards the future and technological innovation. Each welt produced by Tre Bi srl is the result of meticulous and passionate work, which starts from the selection of the best raw materials and arrives at the attention to detail in the finishing phase. A process that requires time and dedication, but which guarantees a final product of the highest quality, appreciated by the most important Italian and international fashion houses. Its success, however, is not only the result of the craftsmanship of its owners and employees. In fact, the company has always been committed to promoting sustainability and respect for the environment, strictly complying with European environmental protection regulations. Tre Bi Srl in Cornuda is the emblem of Italian craftsmanship excellence, a reality that has been able to combine tradition with innovation, love for raw materials with attention to the environment. A reality that, even today, continues to write its story of success and passion for footwear, as Saverio Peron, owner and founder of Tre Bi, tells us.

What are the characteristics that set you apart?
“Our company has made passion for footwear and craftsmanship its reason to live. From the beginning of our business, we have always participated in trade fairs, bringing the latest and most original creations each time. After starting in Florence, in the Fortezza da Basso, the company moved to Bologna and then to Milan, where it regularly participates in industry trade shows, such as Lineapelle. Still, we don’t limit ourselves to this, as we work with all the most important names and brands in the industry, both Italian and French: to meet the needs of the big brands, we have an entire in-house department dedicated to the creation of new samples that always comes up with new ideas. In addition, we make exclusive products for certain labels, which of course are not presented to the public but are a real treasure for brand admirers. Excluding these creations, every time we participate in a fair, we bring with us all the newest and most original creations, ready to amaze the public with our savoir-faire.”
How does Tre Bi Srl strive to reduce the environmental impact of its production activities and ensure the safety of its products?
“We also distinguish ourselves by focusing on environmental sustainability and protecting the health of our employees and consumers. Every year, the company invests thousands of euros in machinery innovation, with the aim of improving production and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. In addition, a few years ago we installed a photovoltaic system, becoming completely self-sufficient in power supply. Let’s not forget waste management: where possible, discards are sold so that they can be recycled into a second life. Cardboard, for example; or leather offcuts that, instead, are given to those who make synthetic leather or those who make fertilizer.
This is possible due to the fact that the company does not use products containing chromium, only plant products. In addition, the adhesives and colours we use for our production are only water-based, without using any harmful chemicals. The same attention is also paid to the choice of raw materials: we select only cotton yarns, avoiding the use of synthetics. In addition, Tre Bi Srl is committed to ensuring the safety of its products: for example, in response to our customers’ requests, we have certified our leather products as formaldehyde-free, further reducing our ecological footprint.”
There is great attention to the product and also to the workers….
“We take great care to protect our health and the health of our employees and to ensure a safe and healthy working environment, as we believe that the well-being of workers is fundamental to ensuring the quality of the work performed. Therefore, the company takes a number of measures to reduce the impact of production activities by avoiding the use of products containing harmful chemicals.
We promote the value of craftsmanship, which requires passion but also attention and care for details. We believe that only through respect for people and the environment can we achieve a unique and long-lasting product. We believe that, in this way, we promote a philosophy of work based on passion, but also on attention to detail and respect for people and the ecosystem.”
What is the main challenge currently facing Tre Bi in maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability, compete effectively in the marketplace, and maintain the balance between business growth and respect for the environment and people?
“We are faced with the constant challenge of improving our products more and more to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers, who want only the best quality. That is why we carefully monitor every step of the production process. If you come to the factory, you will see signs encouraging you to stop and check the quality and keep the work environment clean at all times. Today, to compete effectively in the market, we must focus specifically on quality, punctuality and speed. As it was once said, “it is not the big that eats the small, but the fast that eats the slow.” We do not aim to get increasingly bigger, because we know that this could jeopardize our ability to control the excellence of our products, but we focus on a market segment in the middle of the pyramid, where we can only ever maintain the highest standards. In short, we are faced with the constant challenge of continually improving the quality of our products, without losing sight of sustainability and nature conservation. We are proud to be a solid and stable company that always knows what to do to ensure excellence and continuity in its work. We also have extremely efficient customer service: companies ask us for samples, and we are able to meet their requests on the same day. The only difficulty today is finding employees. A short time ago, we put up a billboard outside the company for six months and no one showed up. It’s not easy because we work to the highest measure, and it takes at least three years to train someone who can be autonomous.”
What investments are you planning for the future?
“For the past ten years, we have focused exclusively on investments in technology and machinery. Currently, we are developing a robot for gluing strips. We are in the design phase with the help of an engineering firm that supports us in making the drawings and building the machine, as it cannot be found ready-made on the market. In fact, we usually commission our machines from specialized workshops, as there are no manufacturers on the market that can meet our specific needs. We are convinced that technology is a key factor in our success, which is why we are constantly investing in this area. Thanks to our-how, we are able to make highly special stitches, and this has enabled us to gain the trust of major brands in the industry.”
