Leader in the production of polyurethane moulding machines, Gusbi has taken on the recession period caused by the pandemic with full confidence in the future, investing in sustainable development and in the enhancement of the available resources.
After the first complicated weeks, when Gusbi was forced to close in order to deal with the early stages of the emergency, the firm headquartered in Vigevano resumed its activities in compliance with the safety requirements, featuring a well-structured organization that helped tackle the only real issue faced in those months, related to travel restrictions: the scheduling of machinery installation abroad.

Gusbi has been able to take advantage of this peculiar period and to confirm its commitment to the path undertaken a few years ago, a path leading to sustainability and energy efficiency: “Thanks to the initiative promoted by Assomac,” stated Irene Bianchi, Sales Department manager and third generation of the family business established in 1946, “we have been fostering the Green Label certification project that highlights a firm’s to provide technological solutions that can reduce the environmental impact according to international requirements. The compliance with said requirements is in high demand, strongly supported, first and foremost, by end consumers as well as by renowned brands.” Special attention has been paid to product and process innovation as well: “Our work relies on projects and commissions. Therefore, the whole processing cycle is aimed at fully grasping the clientele’s needs and at turning them into a bespoke article, able to fulfil their requests. A product that is monitored and improved constantly. As a matter of fact, each demand may entail a potential suggestion for the steady, gradual upgrading of machines.”
Gusbi has already arranged its attendance at Simac, that will be held, at long last, in a physical location. “We have taken part in many digital exhibitions,” explained Irene Bianchi, “the sole solution available during the pandemic, a useful and strategic tool to keep a strong foothold in various end markets and countries. However, we are happy to slowly return to normal: human relationships make the difference and the face-to-face contact with the clientele can not be easily replaced. The same goes for the participation in person in meetings and conferences. We believe that to attend such events plays a pivotal role in the recovery phase, as we are ready and eager to get back to business in Italy and to show the sector’s determination and resourcefulness. All we can do is wait for buyers, hoping for a new international edition.”
