Through the agreement with Tessitura Langé, Industrie Chimiche Forestali strengthens its position in the footwear sector by vertically integrating itself and providing the market with increasingly sustainable products
“We are proud to have been able to join forces with a historic manufacturing company from Lombardy that has been working with us, and some of our important competitors, in the industrial fabrics and packaging sectors for over forty years. We believe that incorporating ourselves further into fabric finishing represents an added value for ICF in terms of sustainability, as through this union we will be able to directly and transparently control the entire production chain”. These are the words of satisfaction expressed by Guido Cami, president and CEO of Industrie Chimiche Forestali SpA, at the latest edition of Lineapelle regarding the sale and purchase agreement signed by the Group of Marcallo with Casone (MI) listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market of the Italian Stock Exchange and the business unit of Tessitura Langé relating to the finishing and enhancing of fabrics, and trading of yarns and textile products in general. The transaction, executed last 3 April, will allow ICF – a leading international operator in the design, production and marketing of high-tech adhesives and textiles – not only to consolidate its competitive position in the market and expand its offer with complementary and highly synergic products, but also to achieve commercial synergy with one of the main suppliers in the textile division, thanks to its distribution capacity and foreign presence. Among the opportunities in the making is also the opportunity to increase exposure in the luxury goods packaging sector, where the Robecchetto con Induno (MI) company already has an international presence thanks to the best environmental and quality certifications. Tessitura Langé, a company founded in 1942, is equipped with state- of-the-art plants and a high verticalisation of the production cycle. Attention to sustainability is enhanced by the use of ethically sourced cottons (BCI), made with raw materials that are both organic guaranteed by GOTS certification and recycled with GRS certification, as well as by the use of chemical substances in the production processes that comply with the REACH protocol and the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list. The ‘textile finishing boutique’ is also a conscious company when it comes to waste disposal, a subject of great concern for industrial dye-works: all waste water flows, through a collector, to Ecologica Naviglio, a leading company in the field of treatment and purification of industrial effluents and waste.
‘The union always has a positive spirit to creating value in industry and manufacturing,’ says Guido Cami. “The primary aim remains to safeguard the Italian supply chain and manufacturing, which is a significant business value.”
