Founded in 1977 and featuring more than 40 years of experience, ITALPROGETTI Spa considers leather processing and treatment as a form of art. The core business of the company headquartered in San Romano (Pisa province), that attended the February 2019 edition of Simac Tanning Tech, lies in the tanning department, boasting top-notch technical as well as engineering skills put at the service of a craft tradition handed down through time – a steady commitment resulting in cutting-edge innovations applied to one of the world’s most ancient and complex manufacturing processes.

This virtuous synergy has allowed, and it still does, to develop technical solutions able not only to ensure the utmost control over leather processing parameters, but also to optimize the use of resources, thus leading to concrete benefits in terms of competitiveness and low environmental impact.

Mario Serrini and Remo Petroselli, respectively Italprogetti’s CEO and the General Manager of Chimont International Spa: the two companies work side by side developing innovative and futuristic ideas. Among the latest projects, a special mention goes to eco-friendly working methods and to low-impact tanning processes.

“Our main mission,” confirmed Mario Serrini, engineer and ITALPROGETTI Spa’s chairman, “revolves around leather processing operations, with a special focus on eco-friendly strategies, the latter acknowledged as a top priority by everyone. We pay special attention also to the relationship with the customers: the experience acquired over the years in the industrial plants field as well as the wide range of skills integrated in different sectors allow us to provide a comprehensive, highly qualified installation and post-sales assistance services, thanks also to the implementation of spare parts warehouse featuring more than 25,000 articles.”

However, ITALPROGETTI Spa’s backbone lies in the design and engineering services. “it’s a strategic activity,” explained Mario Serrini, “carried out since the establishment of the company and constantly upgraded, flanked by a top-notch production department. The know-how acquired by the close-knit group of engineers and project managers is put at the clientele’s disposal, so that customers can find specific skills for every single production demand. We work a lot abroad, as our sales network encompasses 90 countries and the export share accounts for 85% of the corporate proceeds. In 2019, we are going to invest 3-4% of the turnover in research projects, just like we did in the previous years.” www.italprogetti.it
