Lotto launches a new model, the HIT 250 S3 WR, made both in low and mid cut, featuring the HDRY patent and wins over the market by offering a high-quality product with a modern and attractive design.

Safety footwear and workwear have become an indispensable part of many professionals’ lives, particularly in light of increasingly stringent occupational health and safety laws. Compared to an ordinary pair of shoes or boots, safety footwear is specifically designed to protect feet in hazardous environments. But that is no longer enough today. Consumers also want light weight, style, comfort, durability, and above all, waterproofing. HDRY was created precisely to meet this need: a waterproof, breathable membrane laminated directly to the inside of the upper that seals the outer material and all seams in one step, eliminating any space between upper and membrane where water could pool. What about breathability? This certified patent also has a particularly relevant level of permeability to water vapour, therefore maximizing the breathability of the footwear itself. We meet Francesco Vaccher, Head of Sales Lotto Works, at Safety Expo who tells us about the early feedback he received on this new product.
Lotto is revolutionizing the market with its new models….
“Lotto Works presents in this current edition, two new models with patented HDRY technology that allows the footwear to be waterproof and breathable. A transversal model of footwear that we are previewing here in Bergamo and that will be available on the market from November. This is the ideal occasion because all our agents are present. Safety Expo is an event that brings together both distributors and sales network at one time. Also, very interestingly, we met both the internal safety managers of the companies and the end users, the professionals. So for us it is a great success.”
This is not the first edition you have participated in, correct?
“This is the 4th participation and we will definitely repeat it. The organizers confirmed to us that on the first day alone there were 5,000 visitors: a great satisfaction for everyone. As you have surely noticed as well, our stand is always highly visited. Lotto is a historic Italian brand that promotes Made in Italy all over the world. Next year it will be 50 years old, a really important milestone.”
Less curious people than in past editions and more interested customers…
“Absolutely. Many more security companies and purchasing managers who are then the real users of the product, both from Italy and abroad, are participating in this edition. In addition to our compatriots, we have seen many attendees from Eastern Europe, so Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Romania, certainly facilitated by the fact that the fair is within walking distance of the Bergamo airport. Definitely a plus for us. We are really very happy. Finally an event that also has an international scope.”
We know that many companies have brought their production back to Europe, is it the same for you?
“Most of our of our models are already Made in Europe. We have always aimed to have a fast, responsive supply chain that still allows us to maintain the quality standards and to which we have accustomed our customers.”
Lotto is the main user of this new patent. What is the feedback?
“A lot of curiosity from users and industry insiders. This is obviously a preview, and since they want to touch the product, what we will do in the coming weeks is to preside over the entire country with our sales network and present the various models live to dealers.”
Can we say that the expectations of this fair were also met for you?
“I fully agree. Lotto has always participated in many international fairs, in Italy and in Europe, but I have to say that the desire to get together after such a unusual period is evident, you can see it in the smiles of the people who show more and more the desire to be together.”
New projects in the works?
“We cannot reveal too much but we can disclose that we are already working on new projects that always encapsulate Lotto’s great values. This means sport, first of all; attention to design, to style, for which Lotto stands out from its competitors; technology and safety. It will be a surprise.”
Last question: how do you see the parallels between sports and safety?
“It is certainly an added value to have a company that is present on two sectors that are only apparently different, but which in reality, as we have seen, have mixed a lot in recent years, even at the stylistic level. Let’s think about work footwear twenty years ago… Today a protective device must be comfortable and aesthetically beautiful as well. Even in the world of sports, in addition to performance, there is an increasing focus on design. Similarly, even in the world of work, attention falls on both the performance and the look of the product. The Italian market, in terms of taste and aesthetics, is second to none, so it is normal to be more careful than in other countries, or other markets. This ensures that Made in Italy is always in demand, and we are proud of that.”

HIT LINE – Shoes dry faster

These shoes are waterproof and breathable thanks to the special HDRY membrane and an innovative 3D lamination process on the inner side of the upper that perfectly avoids water to penetrate. Among the main additional features, there are the aluminum toecap with high abrasion resistance technical microfiber reinforcement and high visibility 3M inserts in the heel and side.
