Miperval, 60 years of small metal accessories for fashion

The anniversary of Miperval marks an important entrepreneurial milestone, achieved through family passion and the daily commitment of highly skilled employees

Founded in 1963 by entrepreneur Dino Mazzucchelli with his wife Carla, Miperval turns 60 years old. An important milestone for the identity of the Arcisate (Va) company now in its second generation, an anniversary that celebrates not only a life path, but also the teamwork, sacrifices, and choices that have contributed to the growth of the company and its values. Miperval initially specialized in the production of die-cast brass small accessories destined for the many leather goods and luggage manufacturers that at the time gravitated to Varese and the surrounding area, a historic district established internationally. “I began to join my father in the profession at the age of 13,” owner Giancarlo Mazzucchelli tells us. “The experience gained over time together with an approach to work that unites the requirements of versatility and flexibility allow us to collaborate both with wholesalers and directly with high-fashion companies, developing customized prototypes from a drawing, a sample or simply an idea of the client.” In addition to the use of brass, iron and then zamak, aluminum, and now stainless steel have gradually been introduced, especially in the case of rings. “We are able to produce buckles and fashion accessories through the use of different materials and different manufacturing systems, but we are mainly recognized for the care we take in the studying concept feasibility, solving different problems, the finishing process, and the speed and adherence to delivery times.” Each Miperval item can be galvanized with any desired colour, there are more than two hundred choices in the catalog. “We are currently collaborating with Gesm, a galvanic producer in the province of Brescia, that has established its business based on paying the utmost attention to the surrounding environment through the use of plants equipped with the most modern filtering systems for wastewater and fumes.” Miperval, in fact, has always been attentive to the sustainability of the production process, even before this aspect became essential for fashion houses. “All the materials we use are 100 percent reclaimed, no waste originating from the production cycle is sent to landfills.” Mazzucchelli concludes, “Years ago, we installed a photovoltaic system of about 80 kW on the roof of the factory, which, in addition to being a sign of a clear awareness towards respecting and safeguarding the environment, allows us to autonomously produce part of the electricity necessary for the various processing phases, with a considerable reduction in the costs of bills, a competitive advantage especially in a period of high price increases such as the one we are going through. In addition to its own manufactured items, Miperval provides exclusive imported products, which are carefully selected and supervised by the company to ensure quality and reliability.
