Wynwood Art District, a neighborhood located a few miles north of Miami and in continuous renewal, was an industrial area full of warehouses (especially textiles and shoes) which, following the gradual closure of businesses, was heading towards degradation.
In 2009, real estate developer Tony Goldman decided to apply his passion for art to a redevelopment project for the entire area by providing a complex of buildings with very high walls and without windows. Since street artists from all over the world decorate the warehouse walls with their works in this “open air museum”, Wynwood is the largest “street artist museum” in the world.
