After several years of examination, the European Patent Office has granted a European Patent for the technical innovation “BLUE GRIP” to the Pirmasens shoe manufacturer CAPRICE. With the publication in the European Patent Bulletin on 19 July 2023, the industrial property right will become effective.
“After the European Patents already granted to CAPRICE in the past like ANTISHOKK and ON AIR INSOLE, the granting of the property rights for BLUE GRIP confirms once again that creativity, inventiveness and innovation are part of our DNA. In the upcoming autumn/winter 2024 collection, we will equip a significant part of our styles with BLUE GRIP,” says CAPRICE Managing Director Jürgen Cölsch.
BLUE GRIP provides significantly improved slip resistance thanks to a new sole construction. The specially developed fins technology, in combination with the concave GRIP shells, ensures a better grip on various surfaces. The tread is stabilized by adapting the movable innovation elements to the different ground conditions.
