Pranem presents at Lineapelle two brand new items in the field of technical textile materials for safety footwear and beyond
“We had low expectations before the fair started because the market is definitely very slow, lacking prospects and enthusiasm. However, in the face of a lower-than-average turnout of visitors, we found a good presence of foreigners, and this is a positive sign,” says Gabriele Diddi, managing director of Pranem, producing technical textile materials for safety and sports footwear. Despite the widespread attitude of caution there are those, like the Tuscan company, who keep on impartially looking ahead, yet remaining optimistic. Here then, while waiting for economic developments, new proposals with high added value in terms of performance and sustainability came to life at Pranem. In the limelight at latest edition were the Adamantio and Pinnacol products.
Designed to make armored, lightweight and breathable work shoes, Adamantio is an upper application with top abrasion resistance (UNI EN 388:2019 Part. 6.1 > 8,000 cycles with sandpaper). It avoids the use of additional reinforcements, while the special dot weave allows the footwear a high level of breathability and comfort. Design and color can be customized according to the customer’s aesthetic requirements.
Pinnacol is a material for both flat and thermoformed insoles, consisting of Radyarn-Noyfil bacteriostatic polyester fabric and AB65 odor-resistant and conductive copper alloy. Let’s remind that copper is a natural bactericide that effectively replaces the use of chemicals in preserving the shoe from the proliferation of bacteria and odor. The surface is braking for more effective anti-slip action. Two foams are used with open cells for increased breathability and moisture dispersion, but also for superior walking comfort. The first layer (memory) cushions the impact with the ground (shock- absorbing effect), while the second (gel) helps regaining the stride with a spring-back reaction. All features that make Pinnacol the ideal insole for an everyday shoe.
