Revomec, Working for the future, the range will expand

The Trissino-based company showcased at EuroCongress in Vicenza and Tanning Tech in Milan to present new products to be launched on the market in 2023 and 2024. Abroad, the focus is on growth in Europe

It is a work of research and study that has been carried out for several years at REVOMEC of Trissino (Vicenza), specializing in the manufacture and commercialization of leather processing machines, especially drumming and milling machines. Last September, the Veneto-based company had the honour of being among the leading companies at the IULTCS 2022 Eurocongress, hosted at the Vicenza Fair, where they were present with a stand, and shared with other professionals some of the innovations that will be used in the years to come. In the days that followed, there had been an unfailing presence, as had been the norm for many previous editions, at the Tanning Tech show at the Milan Fairgrounds.
“As for the Vicenza event,” specifies owner Fabio Gecchele, who founded the company in 2011 together with partner Manuel Zordan, “From the stage, our sales associate, Giampietro Portinari, presented the company as a whole and the machinery we produce. We were interested in making ourselves known internationally, given the presence of technicians from all over Europe: in his speech he highlighted the technological aspects, to inform those who were present in the audience. In particular, the audience was told about the new system for humidification in the drum, called Dropless, which has involved a lot of research work and is an important innovation for the tanning industry.”
“In Italy we are already appreciated for our Dropless technology,” the REVOMEC owner points out, “but we were interested in making ourselves known abroad where we believe there is the greatest possibility of growth at the market level in the coming years. Currently, our export share is around 20 percent, a percentage on which what has happened in the last three years does not factor, seeing that it is the same as in the pre-Covid era. We believe that the most significant increases may be in Europe, partly due to the fact that, given the lack of stability, we are focusing less on the East. We will also monitor the Americas as a whole, which will return especially if the Asian market continues to show no signs of stability.”
At the Milan fair in the REVOMEC stand, two drums were exhibited, characterized by new improvements, specifically including the Dropless system, with which all models will be equipped. “At Salone Tanning Tech,” Gecchele concludes, “other innovations were presented, but we preferred not to publicize them, making them known directly to interested parties and especially to customers, both Italian and foreign, with whom we had appointments. In this last period, we have also been working under the radar on innovative machinery, different from the existing ones, which will complete the range and which we will launch on the domestic and world markets in 2023 and 2024. Once these machines are assembled, they will be taken to a tannery in the Arzignano district, which will allow us to put them into operation and analyze their operation, so that we can proceed with further improvements. As for the new headquarters, although it was delivered to us at the end of 2021 and we had to face problems related to the lack of raw materials and components, from an organizational point of view we are happy because it provides us with much larger space. Despite 2022 starting slowly, we still managed to catch up in the second half of the year.”
