Sheme's Dna - the combination of traditional culture and international fashion trend
The core value of Sheme design and production is the “art of walking” with outstanding sexy shoes whose style is characterized by traditional Chinese cultural elements and traditional Chinese handicrafts such as Sichuan embroidery (an intangible cultural heritage), thus representing the essence of national and historical culture, always in line with the latest fashion trends.
From 2008 to 2014, Sheme design inspiration focused on Chinese traditional cultural totems such as Plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, peony, lotus and the Imperial Palace. Afterwards, from 2015 to 2020, beautiful patterns were inspired by the Book of Songs, an ancient Chinese literary work.
The birth of Sheme
Linda Liu is an entrepreneur and designer from Chengdu, renowned in the shoe industry as elite footwear maker. The inspiration of her brand Sheme can be traced back to a trip in Kenya in year 1997, where she saw a spectacular scene of a thousand flamingos flying in the sky.
The color of their feathers generated from the red oozing from the blood represents a beautiful, elegant, romantic and passionate story of vitality coming from inside that impressed Linda very much and inspired her collections of elegant shoes addressed to independent and aristocratic women all over the world.
